Dane Street, a national leader in Independent Medical Exams and Reviews, announced today that it has achieved Accreditation in Utilization Management from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This three-year accreditation recognizes that an independent, nationally recognized organization has validated the company’s performance and best practices. NCQA Utilization Management Accreditation is a quality assessment program that focuses on consumer protection and customer service improvement. This voluntary review process evaluates how well a company manages its delivery system, including physicians, hospitals, other providers, and administrative services. The evaluation also assesses the quality of health care delivered to their members. The Dane Street Group Health Services division has tripled in size over the last two years, adding multiple service levels, experienced staff, seasoned leadership, and industry veterans in sales and account management. Our network of experienced reviewing physicians has quadrupled in the same period of time, leading to the high quality of service that Dane Street is known for in the industry.
“For the last six months, our group health operations team and leadership worked tirelessly on this initiative,” said Will Fulton, CEO of Dane Street. “Our Operations and Clinical teams were very clear that this was an accreditation that our clients were interested in Dane Street obtaining as it impacts functions that our health plan, insurer, and TPA customers delegate. This important recognition further illustrates Dane Street’s high standards of quality, collaboration with health plans, and commitment to delivering fair and timely determinations to optimize the health care outcomes of our clients’ members.”
“Achieving NCQA Utilization Management Accreditation demonstrates that Dane Street has the systems, process, and personnel in place to conduct utilization management in accordance with the strictest quality standards,” said NCQA President Margaret E. O’Kane.
